Category: Fun!

In April I posted a few photos from the Raleigh Art On The Move bus graphics. We always enjoy working with the Arts Commission and share their energy and excitement on the project. Here’s a video they have posted with interviews of the artists. I always enjoy learning how they turn their ideas into the final art.  Thanks to everyone at the Arts Commission and CATS! Enjoy the video.

Something fun from the past

lithostone

Have you ever seen a Litho Stone?  It looks like something a caveman would use for printing.  The principles are pretty simple and not that different from modern day offset lithography.

Litho Stones are hard to find now.  The one in the picture was given to me by my Dad about 20 years ago.  As each stone was used, it was ground down and new images were applied.  Of course when the stone got too thin it would break.  This particular stone was used in the early 20th century.

Here’s a good link to Wikipedia that will tell you more.
